Somali Women Vision Organization (SWV) was established in 1998 by a group of Somali women intellectuals in Somalia. Puntland, Garowe Somali Women Vision (SWV) is a grassroots non- governmental, non-political organization, which was founded to respond to the needs of women and children in particular and the community in general in the areas of economic Empowerment, Fishing, education, human rights, Environment protection, humanitarian aid, Health and research programs, The organization has been in existence for more 20 years with a successful record in implementing more than 15 programs and projects in both the protection, emergency and the livelihood projects in regions of Puntland.

SWV is aimed to tackle the humanitarian crisis including droughts and disaster prevention and also develops community basic social Services needs and creates employment opportunities and income generation projects for the Youth, Women, IDPs and poor rural community to reduce the level of poverty and contribute National Development Goals.

Since 1998, SWV has been successful to improve the maternity health centers, water berkders, water dams/catchment, gullies erosion control, fishing training, Orphan assistance program, women economic empowerment, emergence response, peace building, protection and Establishment of vocational skills centers for promotion and support of different vulnerable people in different regions in Somalia
